Christopher E Monckton Dip Arch RIBA
Chris Monckton is a highly experienced project leader
with particular skill in translating design concepts into
elegant construction solutions.
In practice in Merseyside as Chris Monckton Associates since
1990 and associated with Cole Thompson Associates since
1993. In partnership with John Mather & Partners of
Warrington until 1990, building The "Atrium" in
Manchester. Managed projects to £10m contract value.
As an Associate with Norman Jones Sons & Rigby he carried
out a major programme of works at the grade 1 Harris Museum
and Art Gallery in Preston. London Borough of Hounslow (1972
to 1978). Trained at Thames Polytechnic, qualified 1973.
He has won two Civic Trust Awards for his projects. Founding
member of INTEGER Intelligent & Green housing initiative.
Associate
Nicholas Cole Thompson RIBA
Nick Thompson is a highly motivated and creative project
leader. His professional strengths are in conceptual design
and project management.
He set up Cole Thompson Associates in 1985. Associate with
Leonard Manasseh Partnership (1990 -1992) Group Leader with
CMWP architects (1978-1984) - finalist in 1983 National
Gallery competition. Managed projects to £10m contract
value. With London Borough of Hillingdon (1973 -1978) he
built the Beck Centre. Trained at the Architectural Association
and Cambridge University School of Architecture, qualified
1975 following professional experience in Europe and the
United States.
His work has been selected for four Royal Academy Summer
Exhibitions and has been widely reviewed in the professional
press. Active committee member of the RIBA; Arts Council
Lottery Fund Assessor; Executive Committee member of the
European Intelligent Building Group. Leader of INTEGER Intelligent
& Green housing initiative.
Location
We have offices in Liverpool and London.
Chris Monckton leads our office in Liverpool, Nick Thompson
leads our riverside premises in Barnes.
We have a core team of six architects and designers and
together with our associated practices can offer a wide
range of skills including town planning, urban design, architecture,
exhibition design, product and component design, model making
and graphic design.
