Chris Monckton Associates is an award winning design practice based in Merseyside and London with extensive experience in many projects including museums and art galleries and INTEGER "intelligent and green" housing projects.

We are design led and continually test our skills in competition. The practice members have won three design competitions and been shortlisted in six others. We have won an RIBA award commendation for the Queen Elizabeth Temperate House, Windsor. We are regularly involved in Lottery Fund bids and other funding applications.

We have evolved effective systems for 'Integrated Project Management' to deliver projects within budget, on time and to the highest quality standards. We are committed to the pursuit of excellence in design and in quality of service. We are founder members of a nationwide initiative in the application of intelligent technology and environmental techniques ('INTEGER Intelligent & Green Projects') to housing, hotels and exposition projects.

Nick Thompson has led project teams to create "one of the most elegant exhibition spaces in the world" museum galleries to display sculptures from two of the seven wonders of the ancient world and "one of the finest glass houses in England" for HRH The Queen.

Chris Monckton has particular experience in 'exposition' projects through his work at the Harris Museum in Preston. In 1995 he led our design team on a major international competition for the National Museum of Korea incorporating the latest 'intelligent and green' technology. He has recently completed a major refurbishment programme at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
